Last Wednesday the founder of Word Entertainment, Jarrell McCracken, passed away at the age of 79.

Word Entertainment, the largest Christian media /entertainment Company in the world, comprising of publishing, recording, and distribution has been the launching pad for many of the greatest Christian artists and authors such as Amy Grant, Sandi Patti and Kurt Kaiser as well as authors such as Billy Graham.

Inspite of Jerrell McCracken's great achievements he has been noted by those who have spent time in his presence as being very humble, private and sometimes shy. Sharing the spotlight with others and attributing his great success to the talented people he surrounded himself with.
