After tremendous success in the USA with the iPhone achieving 1.39 million unit sales, Apple Inc have now released the phone to the European market.

Last week iPhone was launched in the UK where pricing margins increased by at least $ 167 more than US retail prices, due to "value-added tax". In Germany there were some complaints about prices as the iPhone retailed there for € 399 (about $587). Nevertheless this did not stop the crowds of people cueing up outside stores to be the first to get their hands on new technology.

By extending their market to Europe and later Asia, Apple Inc is anticipating sales of up to 10 million unit in 2008.
